[Drawing blood] How to draw blood stains With video
Hi everyone!
This is the person inside MediBang, “MediBang No.4”.
What I’m gonna show you this time is…
Useful (I hope) for cool illustrations!
Illustration Making of easy bloodstains!
The bloodstain we will draw this time is shown below↓.
Bloodstains tend to be too graphic, so I want you to color it with pink and you can make pop art-like cool blood.

Process 1:Paint the Base
First, paint the base coat of blood using a watercolor brush.
Add a new color layer and select “Multiply” from Layer Blending.
Then paint the blood as if painting a circle.
Bear in mind that painting rather small circles, not big circles.

Process 2: Erase the Blood Partially
Next, erase the base coat in Process1 partially
to make it look more like bloodstains.
There are two ways to erase drawings or paintings:
・ “Eraser Tool”
・ “Transparent Color”.
This time, I will erase them with “Transparent Color”.
Open “Color Window” and select “Transparent Color”.
Erase the bloodstain like painting small circles,
just like what I did in Process1.
Scatter erased parts sparsely and make it look more like blood.

Same as the brush in Process1.

Same as the window in Process1.
Process 3: Blur the Painting
Lastly, it needs to be blurred partially.
Put “Transparent Color” back to “Foreground Color”.
Blur ends of the bloodstains using “Blur” brush.
Not all the ends. Keep in mind to blur the ends on the upper part.
