My artwork lacks something to make it more attractive…
If so, would you like to add the blinking of lights easily using Lens Blur?
So today we are going to take this cyber illustration and use the Lens Blur function to add lights to give it a more sci-fi look.
We will be using MediBang Paint for iPhone in this tutorial.
※Lens Blur is a paid feature of MediBang Paint for iPhone.
It is available by subscribing to the “MediBang Premium” service.

Lens Blur
First, duplicate the layer you drew with the Sci-fi brush and select Lens Blur from the Filter menu to adjust the radius and brightness of the blur.
Layer blending and opacity
Set the layer blending to “Add/Lighten” and reduce the opacity to about 60%.
Finish
Now we’ve finished the work!
Compared to the previous version, you can see that it has gained in brightness and sci-fi look.
As seen above, the Lens Blur is not only useful for blurring backgrounds, but also for softly illuminating objects or effects.
