How to draw lame eyeshadow
In this article, I will show you how to apply eyeshadow with glittery lamé.
Applying eyeshadow
The first step is to apply the base eyeshadow.
Use an airbrush to softly apply the color to the width of the double layer, the outer corner of the eye, and under the eye as circled in the image below.
Choose a color that is similar to the lamé you want to apply after this, but with low saturation.
In this case, I chose a darker purple because I wanted to use pink to purple lame.
Using a blending brush, trace the edge of the eyeshadow to blend out the unevenness of the color.
The next step is to adjust the shape of the eyeshadow by using a transparent airbrush.
Trace the edge with the blur brush again to blend the colors.
Change the layer blend to “Multiply” and adjust the opacity (65% in this case) to complete the eyeshadow.
Place the glitter
The glitter will be painted using the Cloud Brush “Glitter”.
In the brush edit window, set the “Scattering Strength”, “Particle Size”, and “Particle Random” values to low as shown in the image below. (These values are for a screen size of 1500x1500px.
Create a new layer with a low saturation color and lightly trace over the area where the eyeshadow was applied.
The same layer is then traced with a more saturated color, and then with a lighter, almost white color, for a total of three traces.
Create a new layer and change the layer blend to “Overlay”.
Use the light color you just applied to trace over the double line.
Create a new layer again and change the Layer Blending to “Add and Emit”.
Use the same color to trace over the area where the eye shadow was applied, and then lightly trace over the rest of the eye with a transparent airbrush to make it lighter.
Create a new layer and change the layer blend to “Add and Emit”.
Trace the upper part of the double-width pupil several times to add gloss.
Create a new layer again and change the Layer Blending to “Add/Flash”.
Use a pen brush to add light to the upper part of the pupil and the lower part of the pupil.
If you change the color, you can paint gold, silver and many other colors of lame.
You can also use a thick airbrush to apply eyeshadow all over your eyelids for a more glamorous look.
You can also use a thick airbrush to apply eye shadow to the entire eyelid.
I hope you enjoyed it.
